Fellow Knights,
With the new rules that are taking effect, the portion of the band we use for the KL net will be legal for SSB operation, so moving the net seems the prudent thing to do. It has been suggested that we move to a frequency where crystals are readily available. A quick look at the DigiKey catalog shows that the only crystal available en masse in the 3.5 to 3.6MHz range is the colorburst frequency near 3.58MHz, since that's near W1AW, PSK31, and possible interference from TVs, we've decided to move just slightly below that frequency and see how that works. If it turns out to be a bad choice we'll correct it.
So, the new net frequency is 3.575 MHz.
Come join us every Sunday night at 9:00. All speeds and CW abilities welcome. Sir Jack, N4LK, will be calling the net tomorrow as I'll be on travel, but come break out the CW key and join us.
