On the other hand . . .  Since the impedance is pretty well controlled
at 300 Ohms and mostly resistive, maybe I could cheat a bit and use
transformer/balun at the tuner output.  I guess you really don't get
into trouble unless there's a big reactive component to the impedance
your trying to match.  The impedance at the end of the 300 Ohm line
should be mostly resistive, if the antenna is cut correctly.
