Guys,

We have a small amount of cash in our treasury and at one time (maybe 5
years ago) discussed using some of it to sponsor awards for some of the QRP
contests.  At that time, I contacted ARRL and indicated we would be open to
sponsoring an award.  There was not a positive reply from the contest award
chairman (or whoever it was that I contacted).  As I recall, it was
indicated that all of the major contests already had sponsors, and some
obscure, not really QRP awards (or very expensive ones) were suggested and
we declined  to participate at that time.

So, that may be how our name came up again.  --And, I still think it would
be good if we could sponsor the QRP award in one of the ARRL contests.  Or,
perhaps the Fox Hunt, if there is a consensus.  Sponsorship of the Fox
Hunts used to mean donation of some kind of kit.  (maybe that's how our
name came up)

Sorry I missed the pig-pickin' I know you guys had a ball!!
