Greetings Gang;
It's QRPigOut time again, and just about the right time to make
spring house cleaning fun again.... er.... yet!...
Now I've been thinkin' that one of the reasons we've not been able
to conger up any enthusiasm for a new group project may be because we've
lost ourselves in familiarity.... Perhaps we've all become too accustomed
to our respective lairs, and are no longer being inspired by musings such
as "What on earth can I come up with that would be a useful and clever use
of this... ah... wha... hmmm... widget thingy?" Sure!... It took 3 stiff
whacks across the back of the gray matter storage bin before I was finally
jarred into pseudo consciousness, but it's not an entirely irrational
concept to consider that with unrelenting persistence, even I can rise to
the task of getting my attention when the planets are appropriately
poised.
So.... here's da deel Gang! Whadaya say we make the April QRPigOut
an "Inspiration Exchange"? Think of it as a refresher "boot camp for
dumpster divers". Dig deep and dust off some of that stuff you've too long
been overlookin' and long since convinced yourself you're never gonna git
around ta usin'! Tote it along to QRPigOut, throw it into the ring, then
step back and tally the weak souls who pick it up, ponder what they can do
with it, and either set it back down or adopt it as their own.
Sirs Ed (AE4EC) and Derek (WF4I) inspired this idea, by their
generous donations that were timed to intercept Thursday's monthly bread
breakerage. I too have been sitting on a few of what has to be at least
"useable" if not useful goodies so long that my (physical) vision and
(inspirational) vision have now parted company. I will make it a point to
bring along some "stuff" of my own that would make a dipsy dumpster proud.
If you're in need of "deep diver" recertification, KnightLite
observers will be standing by to assist you.
See ya'all Thursday night Gang! This should be a rheel whoot! :-)
