[KLQRP] Second annual Pig-pickin' pigout

Hear ye! hear ye! hear ye!
    Announcing the second annual pig picken at the White house in place of the regular September meeting at the Golden Corral.  It works like this:  I'll cook a bunch of pork shoulders on the grill, have some slaw, and banana pudding.  Might even try hush puppies if I get brave.  Guests bring a side dish or desert if you want to, but it's not required.  The event will be at our house just across the Chatham County line from Cary/Apex.

    Date:  The pig-picken pigout will be on the Saturday immediately following the regular meeting date.  The regular meeting would be Thursday, September 20, so the White house pigout will be Saturday, September 22.  Time would be 3:00 for social hours and dinner served around 5:00pm.

    Note: I was told that this might conflict with the Virginia Beach hamfest, but on further checking, I learned the Va Beach hamfest is 9/15-16, so that's not a problem.  If you know of any other events that this might conflict with, let me know.  If I've overlooked something major, we'll figure out something.

    So mark your calenders and watch for the final invitation/RSVP-request/directions that will be coming out around labor day.
