[KLQRP] KISS

All that considered, remember KISS, which is why the LM380/386 was used
in the first place.

The Pixie broke all the KISS rules when it came on the scene, lowest
parts count for an honest to goodness 'transceiver' and that is why it
is so popular. Damn - it works.. :-)

It amusing watching folks take a $10 hand full of parts, then add $40
worth of improvements, good grief, just send the money to Small Wonder
Labs and save your self the heart burn. It cracks me up to see the
ideas to make the Rock Mite better (audio filter is ok). My 20 meter
Rockmite worked 'right out of the box' and was wonderful, my SW-30 is
wonderful and my OHR 20 meter rig is so good it is hard to believe, but
it is not the same thing.. a real radio that fits in an Altoids Tin is
fun just because it does fit in there....

Now with SMT, (a sickness you have passed on to me, by the way!), it
might be possible to make some of those improvements, keep the parts
count down and still stay close to KISS.....

Just my Rant, this is fun...
